    Hi there,

I had installed software for my Microsot Keyboard (4000) and IntelliMouse Explorer 4 in XP. Problem is that the mouse keeps disappearing off the screen and the Windows specific functions on the keyboard are not recognised. I use Coherence mode here on my MBP. Leopard 10.5.2 and latest Parallels 5584. If I switch to Full Screen then it's not as bad, but do you have any ideas on what's causing the mouse to disappear? I use two mice, one is a Mac Mighty Mouse (from my iMac) and then the MS set.

Perhaps I should remove the MS software? Any suggestions much appreciated. Thank you!

    Lynn

    Hello Lynn,

Parallels has standard drivers for mouse and keyboard so additional software can provoke drivers conflict. Yes you'd better uninstall MS software.

    Hi again,

I removed the software for both the mouse and keyboard; restarted XP. Still have a problem with my built-in mouse and the Mighty Mouse. The only way I can get the Mighty Mouse (wired USB) to work after starting XP is to plug it in again after XP boots up. At this time I'm asked if I want to use it and am advised that it will be disabled on Leopard. I've tried flipping from Coherence over to Full Screen. Full Screen isn't bad, but I really would prefer to use Coherence. Any ideas what's happening? It's really a problem when I can't "locate" either mouse. Finally, in Coherence, my Built-In Mouse will not roll down on the screen beyond the XP taskbar in order to access the OS X Dashboard.

Any suggestions on what I might need to do (other than Alt-Ctrl or Alt-Enter) would be much appreciated.

    Thank you!

    Hello Lynn,

Please open Configuration Editor, USB Controller section and choose in Connection Options "Connect to Mac OS X".

Reboot your Mac. Will this help?

    Best regards,
