I couldn't find a specific place to submit feature requests/suggestions so I'll put a thread here and hope that Parallels engineers find it. Below is the (five star) review I posted on Amazon praising Parallels Desktop for Mac. It contains two suggestions for improvements at the end.

I think this is a great product. I'm using it to host Windows 7 on MacOS Sierra. Considering the complexity of Windows, the degree of integration with the Mac is impressive. I have had several issues getting the applications I want to run on Windows set up, but almost all of them (over 90%) are issues with Windows and not with Parallels Desktop. If, like me, you really want to move to Mac but find that some of your critical software either doesn't run on Mac or doesn't run well on Mac, then this is a way to make that move.

I have found the Parallels Knowledge Base to be very helpful (much better than Microsoft's often rather obscure and technical entries in its KB), and their customer support people to be very responsive. They can't help with Windows issues, of course, but they will often point you to places that do help with that sort of thing. Their user forums are also quite active and a good source of help.

I have two suggestions for the Parallels developers:

    1. If you have WiFi printers then there are a couple of settings that work best if they are changed from the Parallels default. One is what type of network connection to use. I needed to reset my network to be bridged WiFi so my virtual machine would be on the same network as my printers and be able to see them. Then I needed to turn off automatic sharing of my Mac printers with my virtual machine (or else the virtual machine will keep trying to install bogus versions of those printers that won't work because of the WiFi issue). It would be nice if the installation somehow helped with this issue if you have WiFi printers. It's rather obscure to find out how to do it on your own. Of course, after changing those settings I still had to install the printer software from the manufacturer under Windows. Then my virtual machine found the printer directly.

    2. My interest in Parallels may be like many others: I just want to run one or two (OK, maybe three) Windows programs and I don't want to deal with Windows if at all possible. The challenge I would give to the Parallels engineers is to make this easier for us. You can do it now with the right settings in both Windows and in Parallels, but it would be nice to be able to run some sort of wizard that automatically created an icon in the Mac Dock or Launchpad that just ran a Windows program so you never have to see or deal with Windows itself. That's the best of both worlds: Windows apps and Apple hardware/software. (Or, as John Kennedy said when Yale gave him an honorary degree, "Now I have the best of both worlds: a Harvard education and a Yale degree.")
