    Hi,

Presently have a Windows7 VM of my old laptop installed on my iMac, running within Parallels 6.

Now I have a Macbook Air, and would like to also install Parallels on this, and make a copy of the same 'old laptop' Windows7 VM on iMac, on this laptop.

    What are my options?

Does a single user licence agreement (I am and will be a single user), allow single users to use multiple machines, and if so, how do I do it?

Can I, and if so from where, download and install Parallels 6, as that is the licence I hold?

If I am forced to upgrade to Parallels 7, is this going to allow me to upgrade the iMac and then do a fresh install on the Macbook Air?

Or do I need to buy Parallels 7 'fresh' for my iMac; in which case will the Parallels 6 VM form the iMac work if copied across, or, worst of all worlds, will I have to upgrade the iMac to 7, AND purchase a new copy for my iMac, in order to get the whole (apparently simple!) want of my Windos 7 laptop virtualised on my Macbook Air...!

    Thanks,

    D

You cannot use one license on 2 Macs. so you need to buy full PD 7 license for your second machine.
As per your Win7VM - if you wish to copy it to your MacBookAir and use there separately from the iMac version - you can live with PD6 on your iMac and PD7 on Air - no problem.
If you wish to keep Vm on the flash drive and use it time to time on both machines (e.g. on iMac at home and Air at work) that you need to buy full PD license AND upgrade for your iMac.
At the same time you may keep your PD6 on iMac and ignore "update Paralles Tools" message on Air - but some functions may be not available for you than.
