    Hello,

I am about to buy Parallels desktop for Mac 9 (I bought version 5 few years ago). Problem is that I am going to buy a new laptop in two months, but I need the virtual machine Today. Is it possible to use a licence key on my current laptop and than transfer it to the new one (obviously I will not use the software on two laptops in parallel) or do I need to buy 2 licences (I will not do that)?

    Thank you for your answer.

    Kind regards,
    Tomas

    Hi TomášM,

You can have one copy of Parallels Desktop installed on one Mac. So when you get a new Mac, just uninstall Parallels Desktop on the old one and you are good to go.
You can transfer the VM from one Mac to another as suggested at http://kb.parallels.com/114118

    Thanks,
    Abdul
