I'm having a big problem with installing linux under parallels on my macbookpro (2.0ghz, 1gig ram).

I've installed Fedora and Ubuntu, and the installs went fine, I was able to use both instances for over a day. Then with both installs, during the second day of use, the window just closes, and I'm sent back to the Vm configuration screen. From then on I'm unable to boot the linux instance. It will start the boot process, then the window just closes (can't even see how far it gets in booting, since it goes so suddenly).

Linux seems to work well under Parallels, but if I have to reinstall every other day, it's not going to be useful. Any hints how I can troubleshoot this?

    Thanks

Well, I'm working on a theory about this. Thinking back, every "crash" initially occurred during memory or disk intensive issues. Given I'm memory constrained until my second gig arrives, that means I was dipping into swap.

So my theory is that the problem was with the expanding disk image setting. I created a new install with a fixed image size, and it's been stable so far. Will check back with more info if I have success or failure.
