Hi guys, I did my searching and didn't come up with anything so if this is an RTFM situation by all means, be as mean as you'd like! I'm running Parallels Desktop 5.0.9344 under OSX 10.6.4. I have a linux VM (currently Debian but this happened with CentOS as well) which only runs the base system + ruby, rails, unixODBC, and a few other simple components for our dev environment. Most of the time this works very well for me but occasionally the VM completely freezes. I can't shut it down from Parallels (it just tries indefinitely). In order to use it I have to kill the appropriate processes from the command line and reboot the box. As I said, this happens with two different Linux flavors so I'm at a loss for how to debug it. Is there a way to attach a kernel debugger? Is there some Parallels log I don't know about? Any guidance would be really appreciated. Thank you for your time, -- Henry
Same problem Just complete unresponsiveness. Currently running Parallels 5 (v5.0.9344, Build 558741; March 5, 2010) with Fedora 13. Most annoying! This has been happening a lot. Unpredictable occurrence. I would gladly provide logging or other debugging reports to Parallels. I have the same problem. Parallels 5 (v5.0.9344;Build 558741; March 5, 2010). Fedora 13. Complete random occurrence. Sometimes I can work a lot, sometimes I start a command and it freezes. Would gladly provide debugging logs if I could learn where they are.
