Log files not backing up

    Hi Guys

    We are using 2x Application Server & Load Balancer v 8.0 (build 829) on our Win 2003 servers which works well.

    We have our logging enabled with "Extended Information" and the backups set to daily to keep the size of the current log file manageable.

    Our previous version 6.1 created and then added today's log to a zip file.

    The current version creates today's log fine but creates no backup zip file (should be in the same folder as today's log so system clearly has appropriate permissions), so all we have is today's log - oops !

    Any suggestions

    Hi springbox,

    Make sure you are check the correct folder.
    Open the console and check the exact path. The backup log is saved in the same location.

    Was it never working or did it stop?
    How are you setup and what version are you currently running ?

    Hi Guys

    Yes we have double checked the path (currently the default C:\Program Files\2X\ApplicationServer\AppData\2XLogFile.txt) - the files (when this last worked it was called 2XLogFile.zip and 2XAuditFile.zip respectively) are not being created. We have even searched the C drive to see if they are being hidden somewhere else.

    It worked fine before we upgraded to v8

    Any other thoughts ?
