There must be a trick. My Windows OS user account is set to start with a password however when I start Parallels I get a Welcome to Windows screen but no log in screen. I then have to right click on the Parallels icon in the dock and choose the log in screen window which is apparently behind the window I see. Anyway to get this so I get the login window right away. Thanks

    Did you follow this?

On my side, it starts now nicely with the login window and I can start my normal account with limited rights.

I found your post because I was a bit surprised that parallels was always starting Windows under Administrator without asking password even if I set one in the general Windows parameters.

I played a bit with "control userpassword2", I tried to deactivate Administrator acount, never do that... on next startup Windows freezes. Used to Linux world where a simple Ctrl+Alt+F1 lets you control everything if the graphical interface goes mad, I was a bit disappointed. After a few tries and by chance, I hit "ESCAPE" and got the login window back... that's the Windows magics.
