Does anyone know the main factors affecting login duration. When we were testing 2X version 10.5 we were very impressed with the improvement over 10.0 with logon performance. However, once we put this version into full deployment. Logon times duing peak hours can exceed 2 or 3 minutes. We have 1,000+ users logging on to the system This is even worse than the version 10.0 performance. We have 4 servers in total setup as gateways, none of which appear to be under much of a load. This has been the primary complaint from our users since performing the upgrade. Any advice or suggestions would be appreciated to help reduce logon times.
We had logon performance issues for the longest time. It didn't matter if we were using Windows NLB or 2X (we use both so that we have a redundant technology in case there are issues with one of them). It ended up being antivirus that was the culprit. Have you looked into the User Environment log to see what is occurring during logon? Very good article: http://blogs.technet.com/b/askds/archiv ... art-1.aspx Good luck! Rob
