Loss of copy/paste and drag and drop function

hi all,
I have parallels 3 build 4560 installed on a macbook pro and am using it to run windows xp. when i first installed it i was able to copy (i.e. apple key + C) in a mac program and then paste into a windows program with no problems. i have also lost the ability to drag and drop from one os to the other. any ideas why these features have stopped working?

i have tried a re-install but to no effect. so far as i can tell i have not changed anything.
has no one else experienced this - even if they have not found a solution?
Parallels has become an integral part of my work - a solution would be hugely helpful!

Please reinstall Parallels Tools via Actions menu. Please note that Parallels Clipboard supports plain text only (without images and formats),
