I have narrowed the issue down to the inability to resolve addresses. Direct IP works when pasted into IE in windows. URLS's do not. YET, I am using the same DNS as I had before the sp upgrade.

The HOST Apple (10.4.11) has no issues witn IPs or URLs

    Any ideas ?

I have some more specifics and would really appreciate any insight.

I can ping &/or connect to direct IP internet addresses but not to any URLs. My intranet (machine to machine) is working fine so it has to be the DNS.

Here are the settings I have on the mac and the guest xp.

Ethernet adapter Local Area Connection 3:

Any Clues ? Would any other info be helpful ?

    Hello,

Please change the network option from bridged to shared and let us know if it works or not. Also, please disable the antivirus.

    Lost DNS after SP3

I have tried both shared and bridged (rebooted xp in between). Virus and firewall are disabled. I believe it has to do with the XP sp3 updates. I used a competitors software. Imported this XP install.. and it has the same issues. Trick is..how do we find it in XP !
