I was helping a friend who has a new iMac duo. I am a Windows users and my first mistake was to think the desktop would react the same. The friend was complaining about having too many clicks to change from Windows to iMac. I thought it would help to have the menu items on the desktop, so I dragged them to the desktop. They disappeared and I can't find them anywhere. He is really impressed with my skills and a little angry. Please help get the menu items back or help me to help him quickly go from one operating system to the other. Thanks in advance for your help.

You're going to have to be a litle more explicit if you want help. I'm not sure what you're asking. What menu items were you trying to get on th desktop? I don't understand the "too many clicks" aspect. Are you talking about starting Parallels and loading a VM?

If its ease I would drop Parallels into the dock, then in Parallels I would configure the preferences to auto start the VM when parallles starts. This will get you to 1 click (clicking on Parallesl in the dock). can't get much simpler than that.

    HTH,
