I have tried with both parallels desktop 10 and 11 and after using parallels when I go to shutdown my Mac I get a black screen with a spinning white circle. The mac never shutdowns and i have to power off with the power button. If I haven't used parallels the mac shuts down without any issues. I have tried reinstalling parallels but this problems still occurs. The guest VMs are Windows 7 and 8

Hi StephenT1, Could you please shut down the Virtual Machine and go to Action(from Mac menu bar)->Reset and check how it works.

Hi Paul, Once the VM is shut down the Reset menu item is not enabled.

Sorry for the inconvenience, please try t reset the running VM if possible.
Also please generate the problem report using this KB once the issue reproduced and reply us back with the report 8-digit ID number.
There are some reasons of this behavior, that's why we need more technical information.
