Hi everyone, Im thinking of buying the Mac Mini Server $1,000 and would like to install Ubuntu Server 32 or 64 bit on it. Do I still have to purchase the Parallels Server ($1,200) or can I use the regular Parallels? Any suggestions for a low cost solution would be appreciated. Currently I installed Ubuntu on Windows Server using VMWare but would prefer to be on the Mac Mini). Thanks
Hi. If you're going to use single server installation then PS 3.0 is optional in your case - use PD 5.0
Just to confirm I can buy PD 5.0 and run on Snow Leopard Server and can host a Linux server on the same box?
hmm, good question Officially Snow Leopard Server is absent at supported PD 5.0 Mac OSes: http://www.parallels.com/products/desktop/resources/sr/ But we're expecting that PD 5.0 will work on this operating system without issues.
