I am a complete Mac novice. My boss wanted me to order him a Macbook Air and he wanted m$ office on it. Our sales rep incorrectly sold me Parallels Desktop 9 and m$ office 2013 for windows with the Macbook. Boss doesn't want a second OS installed on it, just office. Now the sales rep is sending me the right version of Office for Mac but I need to get Parallels off of this computer. I found some instructions on this site ( http://kb.parallels.com/en/116992 ) saying to drag parallels desktop to the trash can. When I try do do this, the OS tells me that I can't because Parallels is still running. How do I shut down Parallels Desktop 9 so I can drag it to the trash can.? If this is not the right way to do it, how do I completely uninstall Parallels Desktop 9 from a Macbook Air ? I want it completely removed. Thanks
