I have disabled sharing of programs in my virtual machines - both Mac sharing with Windows and Windows sharing with Mac.

When I right-click an image file in OS X, and choose Open With, I still see two Windows programs listed - Paint and Windows Media Player.

How do I remove these entries and stop them from appearing in the future?

Find them in the Finder and delete them. Check in /Applications and ~/Applications

If you can't find them, you could try using the Open With and selecting one of those to start the Windows Application, then right click the Windows Application in the Dock and select Options -> Show in Finder.

    Thank you!

I found a programs folder under ~/Applications - hand't thought to look there. Removed it, removed the com.apple.LaunchServices plist file, rebooted, and all is well!
