Mac Ram usage

    Hi,

    PD4 seems to be running quite well for me. CPU usage is less than 10%. One question though. What's a normalish ram usage?

    I've got prl_vm_app using about 580 meg and Parallels Desktop using about 100 meg.

    Is this similar to what others are getting.

    By the way why are there 2 processes now? In PD3 I thought there was just the one.

    What system do you use in the virtual machine? Is it Vista or XP?

    Sorry, I should have provided more details - Windows XP.

    It occurred to me that the amount of ram usage would be related to what you allocate the VM??? I've set the VM 512 meg of ram.

    Try this KB article: http://kb.parallels.com/en/5810, if it hangs during the VM uprgade try pressing Ctrl+Cmd+Option+R to interrupt the process, then follow the steps from KB article
