I am the lucky(???) owner on a new MacBook Air with the SSD drive. I have had a couple of issues with the currently Parallels build.

    1) The External SuperDrive is not usable to install an OS (Vista). It is seen by the USB menu, but vista can not boot from it.

(I got around this issue #1 by using an ISO)

    2) Parallels seemed to run fine from the SSD drive, but I had to move it to an external USB drive and it core dumps the machine after about 5 or 10 minutes. (I am thinking that the USB drive is going to sleep).

Does anyone have any thoughts or suggestions?

Write a script that accesses the USB drive every 180 seconds.

Sample has been sent to David off-forum. If it works, I'll upload it and post it, and the installation instructions (maybe I'll just make an installation package) on the forum.
