Someone alluded to this very problem back in January while trying to install Acrobat but no answer was given. Basically try installing anything that uses a macromedia installer. A grey window flashes up very briefly and then vanishes. The installer just craps out. I have been trying to install Flexbuilder 2 Which initially is an InstallShield App which then opens a contained macromedia installer app, same problem occurs. That same file installs perfectly on my other PC's with the same version of WinXP. Please can someone take a look at this issue and possibly offer a solution? MacPro 2 x Dual-core 3Ghz Xeon, 6Gb RAM, 2.5Tb HD, Parallels 3.0 Build 5160 with 1.5Gb RAM allocated to a WinXPPro SP2 VM.
