I have XP home on a virtual disk but i want to upgrade it to Vista. To upgrade without losing any of my existing files/applications i need to give the virtual disk 6GB extra storage space.

I know i can make the image large enough if i wanted, but im not able to shrink it again afterwards. At the moment its 10GB, expanding to 16GB will allow an upgrade (NOT clean install) for vista but to save room on my harddrive i want to make the virtual disk smaller again after the vista upgrade is complete.

Is there a way to make my virtual disk smaller after the upgrade?

    Cheers

Cymru, unfortunately, there is no way to decrease your virtual hdd.
