Hi, I want to setup a Sopcast/VCL media stream from my XP environment to OS-X, such that Mplayer can see and play the stream. This is because the windows video performance on Parallels 5, even with a tiny media player window makes my MPB (and others I've tested) run at high 80 degrees temperature in no time at all. So it would seem straightforward to broadcast to loaclhost (127.0.0.1) in XP, but I'm not sure the Parallels environment localhost and the real mac localhost (127.0.0.1) are the same. Can anyone advise how the networking is setup and if it is possible to stream from the windowz environment into the native mac netwrking? any commands I can run in OSX to see the real ip addresses etc?
