Microsoft Windows 8 Preview licenses expire on January 15, 2013

Microsoft Windows 8 Preview licenses expire on January 15. When opening your Virtual Machine, you will receive the following message from Microsoft:
Reinstall Windows Now. Your license to use this evaluation version of Windows will expire soon. When it expires, your PC will restart every two hours. Get the latest version of Windows to avoid these interruptions



If you would like to continue to run a Windows 8 Virtual Machine, you will need to purchase the latest version of Windows 8 from Microsoft by clicking Get the latest version of Windows or by visiting
http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows/download-shop

Parallels always recommends creating a backup of your current Virtual Machine prior to any OS update or system changes.

If you no longer wish to use your Windows 8 Virtual Machine (VM), you can delete the VM by following the instructions at http://kb.parallels.com/5029
Note: If you delete your Windows 8 Virtual Machine, you will lose all information in the VM and once deleted, there is no way to recover the information unless you have a backup of the VM.
