Hi. I've tried searching for threads on my issue, but I haven't been able to find any, so forgive me if this is a repeat.

Since upgrading to a silicon MacBook, when I force quit a macro running in Word in the Parallels ARM virtual machine, I am no longer able to rerun the macro or, indeed, any other macro until I reboot Windows. I get an error, "Code execution has been interrupted," and the macro stops at the same point at which I forced it to break. I tried various fixes suggested by Microsoft, but none worked. I also created an entirely new virtual machine with a clean install of Windows 11 Pro 24H2 (the most current ARM version of Windows) and a clean install of Word. I wrote a very simple macro, ran it, forced it to break, then tried to run it again, and the problem remains. It must be a problem with Parallels's handling of the ARM architecture or a Microsoft limitation when running in Parallels on a silicon machine. (I didn't have the problem before I upgraded to a silicon Mac.)

I've asked Microsoft if they have any suggestions, but I wanted to post here too to see if anyone else is experiencing the same thing.

    Thanks for any leads.
