I am trying to add Windows 7 from my PC laptop (which I've stopped using since it's too slow.)
    I'm running OS x 10.11.3 with Parallels 11.1.2 (32408).

I copied the transporter program to my laptop and installed it. I started to do the transport and got to the connection through the wi-fi fine. I clicked that I already moved docs and went on. Program asks name and location which is filled in with Windows 7 and Parallels. Continue takes me me to the warning about Windows reactivation and I checked "I want to continue." When I click continue I get, "The destination folder for the resulting virtual machine cannot be created. Make sure you have the rights to create folders in the target directory and the name of this folder does not contain any invalid characters."

The only "Parallels" folder I find is in Library. Is that where it is trying to create the folder? Normally when I create a folder I get a modal window to enter my password. I am not getting the window here so I changed the permissions on the Parallels folder in Library so anyone can create a folder but I'm still getting the no permissions message. What am I doing wrong?

    Hi JamesB4,
Please set the destination folder to /Documents/Parallels or /Users/Shared/Parallels and continue the Migration process.
You may also refer to this article for best practices to Migrate Windows and check how it goes.

That's what I needed--I set that folder to allow anyone to create a folder and the program ran (and ran and ran -- wow it takes a long time - 15 hours.) I am puzzeled why the program doesn't allow the system to request my permission however.
