Background: I have a macbook pro and imac - both have Parallels with Win XP. Mac OS X 10.5.5 Current config : Each VM is independant of each other however, I share files across the network. I see I can use the Boot Camp Partition as a Boot Disk if I have installed Xp in a Boot Camp Partition. Can I Go the oposite way and Create a Boot Camp partion FROM an exosting XP VM? Goal: To migrate the XP VM into Bootcamp and THEN Use the Boot Camp Partition to boot to a Windows VM. Reason: I would like to have both macbook pro and imac use the same data If needed, I could use an external drive for Data and "serve" it (so to speak) to both Guest operating systems as well as the Mac OSX . If there is a BETTER or more Pratical practice, I'd love to know about it. The True goal is to have ONE SOURCE of data and not worry about which VM contains the latest info. On a similar note: I would consider storing data on an idisk
In short 1.Backup Vm using NT backup 2. Install Boot Camp on both macs 3. Restore backup 4. Perform Windows repair in Boot Camp
