Migrating my XP to Parallels for Mac using Parallels Transporter on the Mac and Transporter Agent on the PC. The Machines connect and migration is started and Windows XP appears in the parallels folder on the Mac. When about 5% of the migration is complete the Mac reports that Transported Agent has finished its work and transporter agent on the PC reports that the migration has been cancelled. I have restarted both computers and I tried both simple and advanced migrations - all with the same result. Please help.
I would suggest to try migrating locally, as it is described in the following part od documentation: http://download.parallels.com/desktop/v4/docs/en/Parallels_Transporter_Users_Guide/22656.htm Also, try disabling (uninstalling) any kind of antivirus software you might have.
Thank you for replying. It turned out to be my own fault. I had configured the SMB network protocol incorrectly not allowing the PC to write to my Macs hard drive. Did try the local migration you suggested by I did not have enough free space on the local hard drive and Parallels transporter refused to accept any other drive as the target drive defaulting back to the local drive. Hope this may help others.
