Sometimes when you minimize a published application it doesn't get added to the taskbar. Instead the users has to launch the application again from the 2x client in order to get it to reappear.
Re: Minimized published applications on the CE client disape Hi, We are having a similar problem. We are running 2X Application Server Console - SMB Edition Version 7.3 (build 768). The problematic clients are running 2X Client Version 10.1 (build 1263). They are running Debian Linux. We have an application, which when minimized does not appear on the Gnome taskbar. An icon does appear in the windows selector area and can sometimes be selected to maximise the window again, but also sometimes does not have an effect. Otherwise the window cannot be brought back. I've experimented with some other programs we use with 2X. Internet Explorer websites do minimise correctly to the taskbar but when the button is clicked on, the window flashes up and minimises again. This happens most of the time but sometimes the window is restored correctly. Another application I tried would not minimise at all. It flashed down onto the taskbar and then immediately restored. Any idea what is causing this?
Re: Minimized published applications on the CE client disape could be a discrepancy between client and server versions. Can you try with an older client? You can find them available here: http://www.2x.com/downloads/
Re: Minimized published applications on the CE client disape Yes it works in 7.0.8755, which is the previous version we are using. We have built a new Linux image with up-to-date software, which contains the version that doesn't work. Does this mean that we need to stay at the previous version? We can't upgrade?
