Hi, I installed the latest beta build of Parallels Desktop (3094). Then i made a Boot Camp Partition (32 GB FAT32) and installed Windows XP Professional. In OS X i made a virtual machine that used the boot camp partition as hdd. Everything went fine for a while, i could use both Parallels and Boot Camp without any problems. After some time, i could not boot into Boot Camp anymore; it was giving me the "missing hal.dll" error. I figured out that with Parallels using the Boot Camp partition there were 2 entries in te boot.ini file: one for Parallels and one for Boot Camp. The problem is that even when booting into Boot Camp, the Parallels entry in boot.ini is the default. I can change the boot.ini file so that the boot camp entry becomes default, and i can set the timeout of the boot screen to something else than the default of 1s. That way i can boot into Boot Camp again. But once i open parallels and start the virtual machine again, i get the same error in Boot Camp. I guess parallels changes the boot.ini back when the virtual machine loads. Any help here? Thanks T
