Hi there, I'm wondering if anyone else has attempted to run Moblin, that new netbook Linux distro by Intel? I've been hoping to install it in a VM to give it a go to see what it's like, but while I can install it, Parallels doesn't seem to want to run it. I've tried a few different machine settings, but haven't had any luck so far. Anyone managed to get it running successfully?
Moblin is definitely worth taking a look at, however as it is designed for use on Atom based netbooks that have specific Intel integrated graphics controllers it wont run as a VM on Parallels. I haven't found which graphics devices Parallels emulates but it doesn't seem to be an Intel controller. Only other way that may work would be to run on an early MBA which did have an Intel integrated graphics controller - but this would assume that Parallels exposes the graphics hardware to the VM rather than emulating the graphics.
