More video ram

    After installing parallels tools (latest version), windows shows double the video ram then was set in parallels. 128Mb becomes 256Mb.
    Is this normal?

    Can someone tell me if this happens with their installation?
    Videoram in windows is exact the double of the setting in parallels?

    I just checked both my Windows XP VM and my Windows 7 BootCamp VM.

    In both cases Parallels was configured to use 256MB Video Memory and Windows reported 256MB Dedicated Video Memory.

    In Windows 7, additionally it obtains 255MB Shared System Memory to give me a total of 511MB Total Available Graphics Memory.
