I installed and configured a Vista image, complete with Parallel Tools. Sysprepped the image, copied the pvs and hdd files to another machine, and started the process. Went thru the setup procedure and noticed the mouse was staying "captured" within the console window. Started up PTools and the mouse and video were disabled, and was not able to enable them. Uninstalled PTools, rebooted, and re-installed PTools, and rebooted again to get mouse and video re-enabled.

So why do I lose mouse syncronization and the video driver options when I sysprep and re-install the OS Image? All the other Tools stay enabled.

    Thanks in advance,
    Paul

    Hello Paul,

Could you please tell if you had another Parallels Desktop version installed on the machine where you moved your Vista image?

    Best regards,

    Xenos,

I get this error / situation on the same machine. Create the sysprep drive, copy the hdd and pvs to a new name and start. The install and sysprep and restart all run on the same machine.

    Thanks,
    Paul

    Hello Paul,

You might have had this issue if you upgraded Parallels without uninstall of a previous version.

Parallels Tools of the new version could have not been installed and the old Tools conflicted with the new PD version.

    Best regards,
    Xenos
