What should be the driver under windows, device manager, mouse. I have 2 there. One is a VM additions PS/2 and the other is an XDI or something like that. The VM additions one has a yellow triangle and is not operative and lists an error. The other one is the active one. Version 3 was running great . Then I upgraded to version 4. Bad mistake. I have everything working I think, except the mouse. If it is working on the Mac side and I click inside the Windows area, the mouse is gone. I have to unplug it and plug it back in to get a selection box. I can then select windows and it works, IN WINDOZE ONLY. I cannot leave the windoze screen. But everything I have tried so far works. To leave windoze screen I have to unplug and plug in again and select the Macintosh.

I tried when in windoze, deleting both mouse drivers. I then stopped windows and restarted. Guess what, the same two came back. The VM additions one was again accompanied with a yellow warning and would not function. I think parallels tool is installing this one, which it thinks is the correct one, but it will not function because it is not compatible with windows. My vitrual machine started out as an old VPC from connectix. When I converted to parallels we also had mouse problems, but someone found a cure for that and published a solution. It also involved playing with the mouse drivers.

I have spent 6 hours with tech support using a paid for phone call over a 3 day period. I have uninstalled parallels 4 and reinstalled using there suggested method. They have elevated me to level 2 support but no one at level 2 ever calls back.

I am pretty sure it is a bad mouse driver. But I am open to other suggestions. Does anyone out there have a working parallels 4 with windows XP pro SP3 on a Mac running 10.5.6 and can tell me under the windows device manager what mouse driver is there and working?
