    Hi,

I used to work with an older version of Parallels Desktop for Mac (13166-7), with a version of Windows XP installed on it, until yesterday.. I upgraded to Parallels Desktop 3, I paid for an registration code and installed the software. It looked great.

Everything in Windows seems to start-up like in the previous version of Parallels. However, I have no control of the mouse. I can use my keyboard however.

    - I tried re-installing the upgrade.
    - I tried to change the USB port of where my mouse is connected.
    - I tried re-booting all these times...

Is there anything I can do?

Thanks in advance, for your help.

    Same issue

I just upgraded to 3.0 it seems to worked fine that i had the great idea to change the memory on the image. Now for some reason the mouse and keyboard once i focus on XP don't work anymore. Is there a way to run the Parallels tools without me having to do anything on the XP side?

    fixed

actually i was able to fix it by upgrading to the latest release of Parallels. I was on build 51.. (the one shipped with the CD) now i'm on 5582 and everything is back to normal.

You need to install Parallels Tools, this will coordinate the mouse between OS's.
