I regularly use SuperDuper! to back up my system. If something calamitous happens to the VM (as it did today) I trash the current pvm file and copy it back from the backup disk. When I start the VM, Parallels assumes I have created a new vm and gives it a suffix or (1) or [2] and adds another XP Applications folder to the dosk and adds another VM to the VM list. How should I go about this to avoid Parallels thinking it is a new VM? I assume I need the whole pvm in case there are snapshots to bring back as well. Thanks.
