I have not managed to get the - somewhat silly but handy - MSN messanger microsoft app to connect after performing the P4 upgrade on my laptop. It still connects on my Mac Pro but I can't see any reason for it to fail on the laptop. The laptop has just been upgraded to SnowLeopard - that gave me inistial problems upgrading Parallels4 to the new build - until I did the task manually. MSN fails with a error of 8bad... saying it is temporarily unavailable. OK this is not a major problem, but its irritating as all other apps have internet access. I do not have an MS specific firewall running, so as far as I can tell, it is not being specifically blocked - but I am not positive how to check this. Any ideas? Thanks
Try this http://forum.parallels.com/showpost.php?p=377173&postcount=16 PS: Could you please start /Application/Utilities/Terminal and post here the output of command "uname -a" (without quotes)? Solution above relates to 32-bit SnowLeopard kernel and does nothing on 64bit
-I should have mentioned... ...Internet works other than with MSN - also, it (MSN) failed BEFORE the upgrade too. I hoped the upgrade would help. It didn't.
