Need help getting online in xp

I am not very savvy when it comes to this stuff but I need help getting online in windows. I have a wireless network in my home and have no problems getting online using Safari with my mac. I have email support and not heard back and have tried all the troubleshooting articles as well. I am obviously missing something!

I am using Parallels 3.0 build 5608. I have never been able to access the internet through the VM.
