I'm using macbook pro running window 7 on parallel desktop 6.

I'm having some issue with the RAM. I gave my window 7 8 gb RAM , but only 2.52 gb is usable the rest stuck at hardware reserve memory. I tried goggle and alot other stuff but non of it work . Then i read changing the setting at bios will work but parallels windows 7 don't have bios .

Can anyone help me and guide me what to do to make my 8 gb ram to full use??

( my parallels and mac are all the latest version )

How much ram dose the macbook pro have? Because if it is 8 gb ram you haven't left any ram for your os to use.
I know the information is for Parallels 7 or 8 but it should be about the same for 6.
http://kb.parallels.com/en/112607at least 2 GB of RAM (4 GB recommended to run Windows 7) NOTE: Your Mac must have enough memory to use Mac OS X and its applications plus the memory required for each additional operating system (and its programs) that you want to use simultaneously.

Parallels Desktop Configuration is equivalent to BIOS. You can access it by clicking on Virtual Machine > Configure. That's a place you assign the RAM to your VM. And yes, what's the total amount of RAM on your Mac?

P.S. Parallels Desktop 6 is not the latest version. Version 8 is the latest one.

Hi guys thanks very much for helping.

My mac have 16 gb ram ( 8 gb for window 8 gb for my mac ) .

I located the problem already. It's the problem with my windows . It can only run a max of 4gb ram and when i tried running it in 8 gb ram the system will use the 8 gb ram instead transfer most of it to the hardwave reserve.
