I was suddenly having cursor problems that made windows completely unusable in all modes. I found on many posts that I needed to uninstall and reinstall the parallels tools. I was very frustrated and needed to access some windows files for work immediately, so I just went ahead and followed instructions to uninstall parallels tools. The problem is that I can not find the installation CD (Actually, I don't even remember using a cd. I thought that I downloaded the program originally.) How can I reinstall parallels tools without using the cd? I have a macbook air without an optical drive and used an external drive when installing windows 8. I do not currently have access to an external cd/dvd drive. Is there anything that I can do?

    Thanks!

    Hi WesleyMacchio,

The Parallels Tools is an .iso image file which will be mounted as an CD/DVD during the installation.
So you need not require a CD/DVD drive in order to install Parallels Tools.

(Re)install Parallels Tools as suggested at http://kb.parallels.com/112609

    Thanks,
    Abdul
