This is becoming a very frustrating issue for me. When I awake my MacBook Air from sleep, my interent connection is immediately up and running in OS X but the Windows Guest operating system through Parallels has to reconnect which can take as long as a minute or two. This is extremely inconvenient for me. I've tried adjusting many of the settings the Energy Profile on OSX, but with no luck. Any ideas/suggestions? Thanks
Hi Jagstyle, Please follow the steps as suggested below: 1. (Re)Install Parallels Tools as suggested at http://kb.parallels.com/4841 2. Change the network type: Go to VM Configure (http://kb.parallels.com/117287) > Hardware > Network > Select Network type > choose "Default Adapter" > restart Windows and let us know how it goes.
I also had this problem. For what it's worth, I didn't need to reinstall tools, but I did change the Network Type to Default Adapter, as directed in Step 2, above, and that seems to have done the trick. Disabling and enabling the Network Adapter in Device Manager was my work around before. OS: El Capitan 10.11.5 Parallels: 11.2.0 (32581) Mark B.
