PLEASE HELP!! Networking adapters missing in system preferences cant get on net in VM Hello, all! I have recently had to have my hard physical hard drive replaced because of an i/o (input/output) error, which basically killed the hard drive. Anyway, when I restored the computer from a time machine backup (I selected all four restore item checkboxes (including "System Settings"), the two parallels networking adapters were missing from system preferences and I couldn't connect to the the internet in my Windows XP Home VM through Shared Networking. There was one left, and there was one left in their place - "Ethernet Adaptor (en2)" - this had no valid IP (it was something like 192.199.1.198, or something bizarre like that). I manually replaced the IP with "10.211.55.2", and it said it was connected in mac. However, I still have no internet in the VM. I have tried reinstalling parallels, but that en2 thing was still there and there were no parallels adapters. I cannot do the restore defaults in parallels settings because I get the "Cannot connect to parallels desktop" error, of which I cannot resolve either (I have tried the cannot connect to parallels desktop forum, with no luck). I am running Parallels 4.0 build 4.0.3522 and Mac OS X version 10.6.3. Thanks in advance for your help.
