We are excited to announce the release of 2X ApplicationServer XG v10.5 . The new version includes all the features of 2X ApplicationServer XG PLUS the all new 2X ClientManager module, replacing the now discontinued 2X ThinClientServer product.

New Features in 2X ApplicationServer XG v10.5:
    • RDP Drives: The 2X Windows Client will have the option to select which drives a user can redirect
    • Radius Support: Integration of Radius as a 2nd level authentication provider
    • SSL Request: Ability to generate a SSL certificate request directly from the console
    • URL Redirection Blacklist: Administrators can now configure URLs which will not be redirected to the client but will stay on the server.
    • Support for Hyper V Cluster
    • Raw Printing: With this feature, applications which send RAW data format directly to the printer will work when the printer is redirected.
    • Single Sign On for Servers: Previously this was only available for workstations. We have now introduced an installation switch allowing SSO to work on server machines. This should only be used after validating the installation.
    • RDP Connection in Linux and Java Clients: Both clients are updated to support straight RDP connectivity.
    • Server to Client Commands: Starting applications on the client as instructed from the server session.

    Johann,

    I am referring to

'Improved: Redirection of universal printers if reconnection happens (e.g. network failure).'

and wonder if this can also be used like a feature that I know from another vendor.

Assume the case that I am in bulding A at my local workstation WS-HOLGER. There I am using a HP USB printer redirected to my full desktop session and selected there as the default printer because it's the default printer from workstation WS-HOLGER.

S.th. comes up, so i disconnect my session on WS-HOLGER... or better: I just leave.

10 Minutes later I am in building B at another workstation. From this workstation i reconnect to my disconnected or active session. On this workstation is connected a CANON USB printer and selected as default. Will this printer automatically show up in my reconnected session? Will it automatically get selected as my new default printer?

    Thanks,
