    Hi Everyone

I've looked through as many mails on the kind of problem I've been experiencing with a client but can't find the same issue. Apologies if I misssed something.

New 8 Core Mac Pro System, 8Gb RAM, 4 x500Gb HD, NVIDIA 4500

Leopard 10.5.1 installed on Drive 0
Windows Vista Ultimate installed on Drive 1 via Bootcamp

Windows Vista works perfectly when booting into it normally.

THEN Parallels 3.0 installed on Drive 0, hoping to use the existing Vista installation. Install goes fine (can't remember if I used express or not) Update to Build 5582 as per website instructions.

Parallels for Mac see's Bootcamp install. I set what I think are appropriate settings for the Virtual Machine and then when I start the VM - a Microsoft window comes up saying that Vista wasn't able to start because a required file is missing or corrupt. I think it was winlogin.exe. It then supposedly asked me to restart or repair the Windows installation using the original DVD - but whichever combination of keys I tried I either went from one window to the previous or I just got the installing Vista opening screen. No repair console.

After booting back into Vista just straight, I found that Vista was working fine and that the file which was supposed to be missing/damages was very much there...

Does anyone know what might be going on / I've done wrong? The problem is compounded by me doing this for a client, so I am currently NOT sitting in front of the machine...

I have sent a detailed message to Parallels Support (this just after Christmas) but so far no answer and my client is wanting stuff working.

    Very Grateful for any pointers.

    Thanks.

    Ben
