New in Parallels!need some help

Hi everyone,

I just bought parallels3.0 and successfuly installed it and windows xp too, on my mac book pro using leopard..

here are my questions:
1. Can I use mac saved documents in windows?
2. Do I need to create a shared folder between windows and mac, or can I just go to windows, and get full access to my mac hard drive:music, pictures, documents, etc?

How can I do all this?

Hello,

1. Do you mean documents from the Mac side? If so, you can use them in Windows.
2. You need to enable 'Shared Folders'. Go in 'Configuration Editor' of your VM ('Edit' -> 'Virtual Machine') -> 'Shared Folders' tab and check there 'All Mac disks' and 'Map folders to drive letters'.

Hello,

please try to do what I have suggested in my previous post.
Then you will see your Mac documents in 'My Computer' in Windows.

I am fairly new to this forum and am wondering how to post a completely 'new' message to this forum and not have to open up an existing thread and post from there. I cannot seem to find my way around being able to do that.

Sorry, for misleading you, the correct way is to click on
Parallels Desktop and Parallels Server Support on the top of the screen
select forum and click + sign in red circle
