new installation question about boot camp

I have boot camp on my macbook pro. Will there be any issue loading parallels. I want to keep it as a back up OS. I am trying Parallels due to overheating of my mac when Windows is operating. Booth camp appears not cooling and my mac gets hot. Does not heat up in Mac boot and operation.
