Ok well not to long ago I got parallels 3.0 for my IMac. I am running windows xp professional. I would like to know if there is any way to get the video card settings from my Mac over to my XP professional desktop... For example I'm trying to install a game but it wont let me because it says I have an 8 bit video card or something... but in the Mac i have a Nividia 7300 GT 128mb. The specs on the Mac more than meet the requirements for the game but It has to be in windows... How can I fix this problem?

    Firstly, have you rtfm?
    Secondly, have you enabled DirectX?
Thirdly, what build are you running?
Fourthly, how much video memory did you give Parallels?
Fifthly, what game are you trying to install?
Sixthly, do you know what virtualization is?

Ok I will try to answer these as best I can...

I have no clue what rtfm is.
    How do I enable DirectX
Im running an IMac Gen 5 2.16GHz Intel Core 2 Duo 1.5 GB 667 MHz DDR2 SDRAM
Mac OS X version 10.4.10 260GB of Hard drive space.
How do I know how much video memory I gave parallels, and how do I change it.
I was going to try Call of Duty 4 when it comes out, but I've tried Rainbow Six Vegas.
And now I do not know what Virtualization is... Please help. I know this is a lot but I'm brand new to Mac and could use all the help I can get...

    1. Google: Look at the first result

    2. If you RTFM you would know how to; but, I'll throw you a bone:
In the configuration editor, go to: Video: Enable DirectX support

    4. RTFM, or poke around in the config editor you'll find the answer.

    5. Unless the new update comes out from Parallels CoD4 will probably not play on Parallels, you will have to use BootCamp as it uses DirectX 9. Same deal with Rainbow Six Vegas. You can always try and set the mode to OpenGL for the game, which might make it work.

    6. Answer it with Google: http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q=what+is+virtualization&btnG=Google+Search Or Wikipedia: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Virtualization

Next time, please, read the manual before posting questions. If you try to do something in the manual and it doesn't work, or a concept doesn't click, that is when you ask here.
