    Hi,

I have downloaded the trial version of Server 2012r2 ISO from MS, and no matter what I do I cannot get past the installation routine where it is looking for an image, the ISO can boot from CD or from an external HD that is either USB or TB, I have tried using default settings, changing the location of the VM etc. but I just cannot get past the stage where Windows set up is trying to find an image to use.
    What am I doing wrong??
I have a MacBook Pro (Retina, 13-inch, Mid 2014) with 256GB SSD internal, 256 Thunderbolt external SSD, a USB3 256 SSD and a Samsung external CD drive which is seen by the MAC and the Windows VM on startup as it can boot from CD.
I only have a few days left for the trial and I really wanted this to work in Parallels from the Thunderbolt drive.
I have followed the suggestions on the KB's, I work in IT as an SCCM administrator and wanted to set up a Server 2012r2 VM AD environment and thought Parallels would provide the required solution but I don't know enough about MAC's ATM to work this one out.....any ideas?

Would really appreciate some feedback on this,

    thanks

Hi Simon, try copying the ISO to the Mac HD and try installing Windows as per this article and see how it goes.
