I've installed Windows 7 and XP SP3 and the internet on Windows 7 works fine but not on XP. The setting appear to be the same. I use a program requiring a 32-bit windows & the internet on the same OS so I need XP to work with my wireless network. Thanks.

Did you install Windows 7 and XP SP3 to separate virtual machines? If so, try removing the network adapter from the XP VM and re-adding it with the same settings as those in the Windows 7 VM.

Virtual Machine -> Configure -> Hardware. Select Network Adapter and press the [-] button. Then press [+] to add a new Network Adapter.

    More help please

When I highlight the network adapter I see the "+" and "-" I cannot click one or the other. They're shaded as if it's not an option.

You can't make changes while the virtual machine is running. Shutdown the virtual machine first.
