First, a few details about my setup... Parallels Desktop 8 (build 8.0.18608 - fully updated) Host OS: OS X Mountain Lion 10.8.5 (fully updated) Guest OS: Windows 7 Home Premium 32-bit (fully updated) Up until recently (within the last month) I was able to stream content from a shared folder on OS X via Windows Media Player 12 in Windows to other devices in my home (like my Xbox 360). Somehow that's gotten messed and I don't know how. In WMP12, for example, when I go to Manage Videos library I can add the shared folder location that's on OS X (it's mapped as a drive within Windows), but then once I click Ok to close out of the dialog I get a pop-up window saying "Windows added the location to your library, but couldn't share the location." When I click the More Information link it goes on to say "Windows can't change this folder's sharing settings because it's on another computer." Like I said though, just within the last month this was working without any issue. I checked what updates were most recently installed in Windows and I saw that Microsoft .NET Framework 4.5.1 was installed so I tried uninstalling it, but that did not resolve the issue. I also went as far as uninstalling and reinstalling WMP12, but the issue still persists. Any ideas? Anyone else having this problem? Anything else I should try or check? Thanks in advance!
Can anyone at least verify whether or not this is a problem with their setup or if it's just me? I'd like to at least rule that out. Thanks
