(First of all, I can't believe that I am unable to raise a support ticket related to a product that I am currently subscribing to anyway...) I don't have a network/internet connection from my Windows 2012 VM. I did previously, but I think this has been broken along the way but I'm not sure at what point but I do know that initially when I set up Parallels 12 on macOS Yosemite it worked. Currently I am running macOS Sierra 10.12.4 (latest) and Parallels 12 for Mac Pro Edition 12.2.0 (latest). I don't have a "Network 1" in the hardware list when I go to configure my VM and If I hit the plus (+) button to add new hardware the only option I have is to add another printer. All of the existing forum instructions say to add the Network if it is missing, and one of the articles mentioned "if it is available" but didn't say what to do if it isn't. I have tried reinstalling Parallels, uninstalling and reinstalling the Parallels tools on the Windows guest, but neither of these made any difference. Has anyone else experienced this problem, and if so do you have any suggestions that I might be able to follow. It's a bit of a show stopper for me right now.
I ended up solving the issue. Shut down the guest, rebooted the host and then while the guest VM was shutdown added a Network adapter to the hardware in the Parallels configuration of the guest machine. Set the network to "Bridged" and all is working as I would like it.
Hi David08. In your Windows VM please check and see if from Device Manager>Network Adapters if you have Parallels Ethernet Adapter.
