I am trying to connect my iPhone to iTunes on my Windows 8.1 virtual machine but the phone automatically connects to my iTunes on my Mac OS. Parallels is not giving my the option to choose which OS to connect to. I have re-downloaded iTunes for windows and reinstalled Parallels Tools many times; also I went into Parallels preferences and checked the box telling my computer to ask what to do when an external device is connected but I cannot seem to resolve my problem. Please help.

    Hi Cody,

As default the external device will be detected in the Mac side as Mac is your host OS. Please start Windows Virtual Machine, on the Top Mac Menu bar select 'Devices' - External Devices - select your iPhone device. The device will be recognized in your Windows Virtual Machine side, so you can access it through the iTunes installed in the Virtual machine.

    Hi Abdul,
I am having the same problem as Cody.

I've tried selecting the 'Devices' menu at the top of the Windows Virtual Machine. However there is no 'External Devices' option and I still don't see my iPhone 5s anywhere. I have iTunes loaded on both the Mac and Windows side. The iPhone is recognized just fine on the Mac side.

    Please, please help!

    Thanks,
    Andy

    Hi Andrew,
Please try re-installing Parallels Tools and check how it goes. Refer to this article to re-install Parallels Tools, http://kb.parallels.com/4841
